Daisies and Butterflies Centerpiece

 Hi Everyone!

Today's Heartfelt Creations project is a table candle centerpiece!  I used a 2-1/2" white pillar candle and an empty Laughing Cow Cheese container to make my display.  So if you happen to have those handy, you're all set to follow along!!

I started by decorating my candle by stamping my images onto white tissue paper.  I used my heat gun and wax paper to adhere them to the side of the candle.  As the candle warms with the heat, the tissue images sort of become embedded into the wax.  The technique can be found on many YouTube videos including this one that I used when I first learned how to do this years ago:  Stamping on Candles.

Once the candle was prepared, I created the base for the display.  I wrapped a strip of decorative paper around the side of the cardboard container, then glued the candle to the center of the top.  I cut two strips of 2" x 12" patterned paper and scored them every 1/4".  I accordion folded them and glued the ends together to form a cylinder.  Then I laid the cylinder around the candle and laid it flat to make a skirt around the candle and glued it
down with hot glue.

Next I stamped, die cut and shaped all my daisies and butterflies and glued them all to the centerpiece.  I added a couple of Karen Foster Starburst Brads to finish the design.

All the step by step instructions (in excruciating detail lol!) can be found on the Heartfelt Creations Blog today!  I hope you get a chance to visit the website, you'll find so much inspiration and tons of eye candy!

Daffodils Stained Glass Card

Hi Friends!

Happy Weekend!!  So far today I've made 3 cards with no stamps or ink -- just all the new dies that came in my Design Team package from Frantic Stamper!

Today's card uses the "Daffodils Stained Glass" die.  Awesome for Easter Cards!!  Oh my, the things I want to do with it!!

This came together simply by die cutting the image twice; once from Kraft cardstock and once from patterned paper from Authentique "Essentials Collection" 6x6 pad.

I laid out the negative from the pattern paper onto white cardstock, then inlaid the die cut piece from the Kraft paper, and then filled in just the flower pieces of the image that I got when I die cut the image from the patterned paper.  That may sound more complicated than it was, I should have photographed it while I was doing it!  But this was one of those cards that I was so excited to make I just did it quickly and didn't stop to snap pics!

I added Ranger Lemon Ice Stickles to the flower pieces to finish the design.

I appreciate you stopping by this weekend!!  Have a blessed week!!

Purple Paisley Peacock Card

Hi Everyone!

More to show you this week using the Paisley Peacock Collection! I went with purple palette this week and came up with this card.  I stamped the peacock and colored his body with markers then cut it out and attached it to the card front.  Then I made al my small daisy flowers in shades of purple and attached them as part of the tail feathers.  The gold centers are made of chunky gold glitter. The ribbon I added is part of a stash that I have - the company is no longer in business but I love how it coordinated perfectly with this card.

Heres links to the HC stamps, dies and paper I used to create this card:

There's so many more ideas in my head using these stamps and dies, and a few projects I've already made waiting in the wings for next week to share with you!
Hope you'll check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog for some pretty amazing projects and inspiration! I'm always in awe of my fellow Design Team mates!!

The New Peacock Paisley Collection!

At last the fabulous Peacock Paisley Collection is here!  This new set is among my favorites! Can't hardly wait to show you all the great projects that the whole team has come up with.
Brighten your world with the sparkling colors and mesmerizing motifs of Peacock Paisley, the exquisite spring release from Heartfelt Creations. This lush collection sparkles with jewel tones of topaz, sapphire, amber, emerald and turquoise. The artistic flair of exotic peacocks, intricate paisleys, frilled feathers and delightful daisies will captivate your imagination and energize your creativity. Six sumptuous sets of intricately designed, deeply etched red rubber stamps are the perfect companions to a vibrant paper collection that is overflowing with card fronts, cut apart pages, vivid artwork, pre-designed layouts and beautifully layered backgrounds. The Delightful Daisy Die cuts 7 perfect floral layers with one pass through your cutting system. Whether you want to preserve life's most beautiful moments, create with mixed media techniques or design keepsake cards, you'll be proud as a peacock to present the sophisticated elegance of Peacock Paisley.
Here's my two cards for the new release!

This one was so much fun!  I used bright colored cardstock and scissor cut apart the paisley segments so I could layer them in multiple colors!  The wonderful leafy stamps and dies that come as part of this new collection make it all so feathery and flourish-y!!

This card uses the daisy die and coordinating stamp that goes with it.  You know I just had to make a flower!!  I stamped it onto peacock background paper and added a glass bead to the center.  The paper collection was my inspiration for this design, it's just so beautiful to work with!

The step by step instructions for each of these cards can be found on the Heartfelt Creations blog post today!  There's more to come in the following weeks but for now, please check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog for lots of new inspiration using this new set!  It will knock your socks off!!

Vintage Style Ribbon Challenge Card

Hi Friends!

Thought I'd create a card to play along with the latest Really Reasonable Ribbon "Flowers and Ribbon" Challenge for this week.  I am an admirer of my HC teammate Kathy Clement (Kathy by Design) who designs the most amazing vintage style cards.  Her latest one is for this weeks RRR challenge so I was inspired to play along!

I used paper from Prima Marketing's Almanac Collection, Hug Snug Ivory Seam Binding, and of course couldn't help but make some flowers using Heartfelt Creations Bountiful Roses dies.

The image of the woman is from "Grandmas Attic Collection" called "French Ladies" collection by Pion Design -- I get these from Frantic Stamper (she has a gorgeous selection of Pion Designs - check it out!).

I used Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Memento Luxe Angel Pink ink to distress the flowers, the paper edges and the ribbon to coordinate everything.  My embellishments are some swirl pearls from Want2Scrap and a bead charm from Michael's (found in my stash).

Red Roses Cameo Card

Hi Everyone!

Today's Heartfelt Creations card is made featuring Botanical Blooms from the Butterfly Medley Collection. These flowers have wider petals making them extra versatile and easy  to work with.

I stamped and die cut the rose blossom petals 3 times, which yields 18 blossoms in a variety of sizes to work with.  I shaped and layered them into 3 roses and 2 rose buds with my flower shaping tools.  I found a vintage cameo image and die cut it for the center focal point and just added my flowers and leaves around the image.  The finishing embellishments are half-pearl swirls from Want2Scrap.

My detailed step-by-step instructions are posted on the Heartfelt Creations Blog today!  Be sure to stop by - there's tons of inspiration using many more of the Heartfelt Creations flower making products and samples that you'll love!!
