Teal Black and White!

Hello Friends,

I'm posting this card for the Inspiration Challenge this weekend on SCS that I'm hosting.  The website I chose is called "My Deco" and it is a collection of boutique items from all around the world!

The inspiration piece I chose is this "Corsica Tablecloth".  I loved the colors and contrast of the teal, white and black.

For the background of my card, I started by stamping flowers from SU's Stippled Blossoms set in black Memento Ink.  I then added white crayon to random areas that I wanted to remain white. (The crayon acted as a resist to the ink in the next step.)  I then added sponged on Tim Holtz "Broken China" distress ink all over with a felt applicator.

I die cut a Cheery Lynn Designs "Doily Dies" frame and adhered it to my background. I then added a couple of paper roses I had already made (Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms) to the lower right corner of the frame.

Next  die cut two of the butterflies from the "Exotic Butterfly" dies set by Cheery Lynne.  I temporarily positioned them inside the frame to figure out where I was going to put my sentiment.  Once I figured that out, I set the butterflies aside and gold embossed my sentiment from "Perfectly Penned" by SU inside the frame.

Finally, I permanently adhered the butterflies back onto the card, added some Ranger Platinum stickles and Jolees jewels for a little glam.  And here's the result...

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!
