Jazz It Up!

Hi there!

Posting my card early for the Inspiration Challenge this weekend over on SCS!  I'll be there hosting tonight so I hope you'll come join me!!

The website I chose for this week's challenge is called Jazz It Up!!  A stunning collection of funky and contemporary design-led interior accessories. It is such a fun web site to browse, hope you'll take a look around and be inspired to create a card for your collection!!

I had (have!) so many pieces from the website saved to use as inspiration, but for this week I went with this simple and striking 'SCARLET TULIP' coaster set from their Elegance Collection.

I stamped tulips from SU's Terrific Tulips set in Real Red and Basic Black.  Carved out the center with a craft knife and mounted it onto black CS and popped it up for dimension.  I tied a matching Real Red 5/8" ribbon as an accent.  The sentiment is a SU "Love and Happiness" rub on.

Inspiring Crate Labels

Supplies:  Heartfelt Creations stamp, Nestibilities, SU Wonder Watercolor Crayons and mini clip, Old Olive, Black, White and SU DP, Black Craft and Yellow Classic ink, Brayer, Chipboard, Black EP.

Hi All!

Come join me this weekend over on Splitcoast for the Inspiration Challenge!!  The website to visit for inspiration is Crate Paper Museum.

This "Ozark Strawberries" label was my inspiration piece for this card.

I embossed the strawberry patch with black EP and colored in the image with watercolor crayons. Did some fussy cutting and attached it to a black oval die cut. I layered this over a panel of white CS that I brayered in yellow.  Doodled stitches around the border and punched a border along the bottom so the inside DP would show through.

The embellishment is a chipboard piece that I covered with polka-dot DP and one of the strawberries from the image that I snipped off!

Hope you'll join in the IC this week everyone!

Weekend Cards!

Here's the fruits of my labors this weekend.  I've been working on another project that isn't coming out so well, re-did it for the 3rd time today and I'm still waiting to hear if it will be ok!!  So I didn't get nearly the card-making done that I had hoped.

Anyhow, here's what I got this week:
Supplies:  Nestibilities Labels 5, Small Ovals, EK Success decorative border punch, MS leaf punch, Bazzil Dotted Swiss CS, SU Blue Bayou Textured CS and WWhite, SU Asian Artistry, Stamps by Judith leaf and sprite, Basic Grey Opaline half-back pearls, flowers were a gift from Birgit (aka Bigan)

This first card is for the Featured Stamper challenge over on Splitcoast.  This week the queen of the galleries is Pat Smethers!!  Congrats to a very talented, kind and fun stamper!

I chose her "Virginia's Garden" card.  Swapped out the materials and embellishments with what I had here in my little abode, but kept her layout.

The pretty teeny roses I used on this card were a gift from Birgit, aka Bigann over on SCS!  So adorable!!  Thanks again Birgit!!

Supplies:  SU Kraft CS, White Signo Gel pen, "smile" stamp unknown, Corner Rounder punch, Pixie Pink Textured CS, K&C Company Grand Adhesions.

Next card uses this cute little monkey sticker by K&C Company.  DH picked these out for me (along with several other sticker sets -- I tell ya, I'm blessed!!) and I played around with several different designs all weekend.  But this one is the one I liked the best.

Supplies:  American Crafts DP, SU Kraft and Chocolate Chip CS, Primas, PTI Aqua Mist CS and Perfect Match Ribbon, SU Scallop border punch, SU Tiny Tag punch, Chipboard Sticker alphas by a.t.d.
Lastly, another chipboard letter sticker card to feed my chipboard obsession!!  No stamping here, just punching and paper piecing!!  Way fun!!

Woodware Stamps!! Yay!!

Hi All,

More news on the Design front -- I'll be "officially" designing for Woodware USA Clear Magic Stamps (a new to the USA stamp company) soon, but for now, I have a few cards that I made using their really dern cute images!!!  I've already posted several cards here on my blog using their stamps (see "Woodware" on my side bar), but here's a few more that I hadn't posted yet.

The cards were created using this Woodware "Get Well Soon" set.  Cute cute set, right?!

I'm so thrilled to be asked to by Jackie Wynia, their Marketing person to come on board. I've found her and the company to be a good-hearted and very interested in the stamping community! Their stamp artists are so talented, with wonderful diversity!  I hope you'll check out the store soon!!
