Shirley2 Girls Stamps!

Supplies: Rose Red, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, White CS. Laser Printer for Digi Image, Copics. KC&Company Baubles, Sizzix Card Making set (sentiment), SU 3/4" and 1" circle punch. Cuttlebug EF.
Hey all! The Belli Challenge this week is to create a card using Halloween Colored Glitter or Bling!! Let me just get it over with -- I didn't read my own instructions right!! I was so caught up in how cute this "Mazie" Digi image was that Shirleys2 Girls stamps provided the Belli DT to do this challenge, that I just ran off and made a card without reading all the instructions!! {embarrased!!} As you can see, my card does not properly "represent" Halloween in any way!! But -- all the other Belli Design Team members made adorable cards and followed the directions correctly -- be sure to check out their stuff!! :) Now, if you can read instructions better than me...make a card using Halloween Colored Glitter or Bling, link it to the Belli Blog, and post it to your favorite gallery using keyword CBC#75!! And be sure to go by Shirley's 2 Girls website to see lots more digi images, fun digi designer paper, and stamps!! TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Best Day Ever Card

Supplies Used: Verve "Wishing You" stampset. White, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip CS. Chocolate Chip Craft Ink. SU Top Note die, Sizzlet Cresent Tag die. SU Soft Sky DS ribbon. Assorted misc jewels. Big Shot, Floss Threader, clear stretchy wire.
Congratulations to NancyRuth!! who's gallery is featured this week over on SCS! Her cards are always outstanding, I love her work!! I chose to case her "More Congrats" card from her gallery. She is the Queen of the Top Note die ;) , so I knew this was a wise choice!! I copied her layout and used the same die, but changed out everything else to materials that I have. While I was working on the bow, I decided I wanted "tails" on it. You know, the two hangy-downy ribbon pieces that fall under the bow? I had used the original tails to wrap around the card layer so there were none left to hang down; all you saw were a couple of loops across the ribbon. (See the "tail-less" bow in this shot.) To add the tails, I pulled out a floss threader so I could pull another piece of ribbon through the bow's knot. (I swear I don't know the real use for these threader things, but I use them to thread ribbon through small holes!) Push the end of the threader through the knot of the bow, but don't pull it all the way through. Stop at about the point where you have the end of the threader through the knot and the loop of the threader still sticking out. Now you want to take your piece of ribbon and put it through the loop hole, about half ways through the loop. Now you grasp the end of the threader and start to pull on it so the ribbon piece follows the same path the threader is going -- through the knot. Sometimes it can be a struggle, depending on how tight the space, but if you tug it, sort of back and forth, it comes through without damaging either the bow or the ribbon piece you're pulling through. And there you have it! The ribbon has come through the bow knot without having to untie or redo the bow! TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Pumpkin Resist

This was made for Charlene's (aka Where M&Ms Gather) challenge to the Doubledog Dare gals to create a card using the Crayon Resist technique! A great, but left behind, technique!! I stamped my image in Momento Tuxedo Black onto glossy paper, used sponging to add the color, and a little bit of Copics to fill in the detail color. The sentiment is a SU Chit Chat rub on. Super easy!! Give it a try!! Upload your card using "DDC" to play along!! TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Happy Holidays Hog!

Congrats to Heather - this weeks Featured Stamper!! A fantastic gallery with so much inspiration and creativity. You have to check it out here!! I chose a cute holiday card from her gallery: Hoppy Holidays. I used my little pig by TAC instead of a frog, an Eyelete Outlet Santa Hat brad, a bit of ribbon and some DP from last year's Christmas stash that I recently pulled out again. Congratulations to Heather!! TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Judy's Hummingbird Card

My sister Judy has been Tweeting about a bully hummingbird hanging around her feeder all week long. She made me laugh so when I got home yesterday I made this hummingbird card for her. This is made using SU Exclusive Flower Folds Bigz die, the Birds and Blooms Sizzlets set, and the center stamens are the Sparkle Sizzlet! The flower was embossed with SU Finial Press and a Cuttlebug EF for texture. Stamped the background with the tree top stamp from SUs Trendy Trees set. Assembled the whole thing with scraps sitting on my table from my last project and it was done!! Die cutting images make these projects super easy!! TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Altered Tin for Fall! Free Give Away!!

Supplies: All die cuts by Creative Cuts and More. See individual panel descriptions below
This is for today's Belli Challenge to create a card or project with a FALL theme! This week our challenge is sponsored by Creative Cuts and More!! Play along with our Design Team by uploading your card or project to the Creative Belli Blog and you could win over $30.00 in goodies from our sponsor!! Create a Fall themed card or project and upload it using Mr. Linky over on the Creative Belli Blog . More deets and some fantastic designs to inspire you using Creative Cuts and More products can be found there!! For my project, I chose an Accordion Mini tin that comes with perfectly sized, accordion die-cut insert layers in your color choices (I chose Yellow and Green). I also chose a set of die cut leaves to use as part of this project! This was a blast, and so easy -- just decorate any way you want, all the measuring is already done!! The outside is wrapped in ribbon by RibbonFX from Michael's $1.00 bin, bling leaves from Michael's $1.00 bin, and a Clear Mini Stamp from Michael's $1.00 bin! I distressed a scrap piece of a shopping bag that I cut into a label of sorts and wrote "Give Thanks" on it. The inside of the lid is covered with Daisy D's DP, sunflowers that I made with SU Daisy punch and 3/4" circle punch, an EK Success leaf punch, and I created a tag that unfolds to read Happy Thanksgiving (sentiment by Inkadinkado). Here, the sentiment I used is SU! Short and Sweet stamp, Nestibility Ovals, mini leaf punch and Creative Cuts and More Oak Leaf.
Paper Studio Leaf Brad, Nestibilities Labels die, SU Holiday Best sentiment. Image from SU Times and Seasons colored with Copics, Nestibilities Scalloped Squares. The leaves are more die cuts from Creative Cuts and More!! This panel was created using 1-1/4", 1" and 3/4" circle punches, some anonymous "foam" leaf stamps, and SU Short and Sweet Sentiments. Orange mini brads by QueenKat. This last panel is a SU Sizzix leaf die cut, some decorative buttons from Mike's, a tag made with Martha Stewart punch, and rub-ons from SU Chit Chat (these are awesome!!). The fan is made with Daisy D paper, scored every 1/4" on my table top Cutterbee trimmer with a stylus pen. What do you think? Please check out the rest of the Design Teams awesome creations using products from Creative Cuts and More!! Play along by uploading using Keyword CBC74 and linking your creation to the Belli Blog!! Shannon's Sweet Birdie

Supplies: Inkadinkado Birds Galore. Rose Red, White CS. Painterly Petals Urban Prima flower, Eyelette Outlet brad.
This week's Featured Stamper over on SCS is the amazing Shannon, aka "Steubner" ! Her gallery is beyond fantastic, do check it out!! She also blogs at Shanon Steuber Designs. For no particular reason except that I had the same stamp set (since I love every card in her gallery!!), I chose her Sweet Birdie Card. Used chalk inks for the image in similar colors and layered it basically the same way, but I added one more Rose Red layer and my flower embellishment and brad are different. Congratulations Shannon!! TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

SU Bigz Flower Folds Die

Wow, having so much fun with this new die form SU!! So I have a couple of cards to show you that I made with it. First, this is an exploding type flower card. I just cut one of each size of the flowers from the XL Sizzix die and layered them onto each other. Here I used SU's Parisian Breeze DP. I stamped a sentiment from the Riveting set in Chocolate chip, punched it out and layered it onto a larger punched circle of Chocolate Chip CS. Adhered it to the center of the flower. Next, laid a wide ribbon on top of my card base. Then folded each petal, one on top of the other. The outermost flower should have the last petal align with the direction of the ribbon so it holds everything closed when its tied up. Hold the flower closed with your finger and knot your ribbon around the folded up petals. Next card is this Tent Topper card that I made after seeing today's SCS Weekly Inkling #175 (seriously, there are one-hundred and seventy-five newsletters already!!). My "topper" is another series of graduated, layered die cut flowers made with the Bigz XL Flower Folds die using SU Thorougly Modern DP. This flower does not use the largest flower on the die like the first card I made, and this flower is intended to stay open. The center is a beautifully crocheted flower handmade by my friend Anne Harmon (aka Inking in Red), and the brad in the center is from a KC&Company from their K Sera Sera collection. The bottom panel is texturized with the Herringbone Cuttlebug folder on Chocolate Chip. I made a bow with the Bow Easy (which, really, isn't all that easy folks, but it makes awesome bows!!) using "Celebrate It" 5/8" Basic-Basic ribbon from Mike's. TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

THIS Week's DDC and Anne's Crocheted Flower!!

Supplies: Basic Grey Infuse DP, SU Scallop Punch, SU Sizzlet Swirls Scribbles die, Cuttlebug die (sentiment), misc. buttons

Hey All!

(I've tried twice to upload to SCS tonight but nothing happens, anyone else having that problem? Maybe they're trying to tell me something...??!! :)

This is my card for this (may I emphasize THIS) week's DDC!! I rarely get my DDC done in the current week, let alone on the same day (night) it was issued!! But I have been so stamp deprived recently that I am just craving a good challenge!! (Been gone for almost a week to NM for a family wedding.) And this is definitely a fun challenge to get back in the groove!

Our fabulous FRAN aka Fancie's Fancy (dontcha LOVE that blog name??!!) hosted the DDC this week. She challenged us to make a card with at least one button. My card has three sizes of buttons and I got to use this perfectly crocheted flower that the supremely talented Anne Harmon (aka Inking in Red) made and sent me (I got a whole baggy, folks, who's the man???!!! WOOT)! I love my little flowers....but alas, I digress...

I die cut the sentiment from a Cuttlebug die, and I apologize that I do not know the name of it, but it came with my Butterflies EF set from Cuttlebug. (Can you tell it's the first time I've used it!?)

The Background papers are from the Basic Grey 6x6 Infusion DP pad. I used a technique/layout by KWerner Designs that I watched last night on YouTube. You can find it here called: Diagonal Rays.

Please join us in this fun challenge so we can come visit YOUR blog!! Leave me a comment to let me know and we'll get over there!! If you upload (or try!!) to SCS, use Keyword DDC so we can find you.

Be sure to check out the other Doubledog Dare blogs (shown on my sidebar) to see more of the cards made for this fun challenge!!
